WASHINGTON, April 23. / The US administration believes that Vladimir Zelensky is not moving towards peace in Ukraine, but in the opposite direction, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters.
"The president [US President Donald Trump] is frustrated. His patience is running very thin. <...> He wants to see peace," Leavitt noted.
"But you need both sides of the war willing to do that, and President Zelensky seems to be moving in the wrong direction," she emphasized.
"The [US] president's national security team, his advisers, have devoted significant time, energy and effort to try to bring this war to an end. The American taxpayer has funded billions of dollars in this effort, and enough was enough," the spokeswoman said.
