President Donald J. Trump underwent a comprehensive medical evaluation at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Thursday, with his physician declaring him in "exceptional health."
Dr. Sean P. Barbabella, the White House physician, released a memorandum stating that the evaluation was part of Trump's routine health maintenance plan. The visit included advanced imaging, laboratory work, and assessments by multiple specialists.
According to the report, Trump's laboratory results were "exceptional," showing stable metabolic, hematologic, and cardiac parameters. The physician noted that Trump's cardiac age, measured via ECG, was approximately 14 years younger than his actual chronological age.
Ahead of planned international travel, Trump received preventive health screenings and immunizations, including an annual flu shot and an updated COVID-19 booster vaccination.
"President Donald J. Trump remains in exceptional health, exhibiting strong cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological, and physical performance," Dr. Barbabella wrote in his summary. He added that Trump "continues to maintain a demanding daily schedule without restriction."
The evaluation was conducted by a multidisciplinary team of specialists working with academic and medical consultants to monitor the President's cardiovascular health and overall wellness.
