September 21, 2025
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has issued an urgent alert to the public regarding a fake recruitment letter that has been circulating on social media, falsely claiming that financial clearance has been granted for the recruitment of 50,000 teaching and non-teaching staff.
In a statement signed by Daniel Fenyi, Head of Public Relations, GES clarified that no such recruitment exercise has been announced and the viral letter did not originate from the Service.
“Management wishes to state that the letter is FAKE and did not originate from GES,” the release emphasized.
GES further stated that any official recruitment information will be communicated only through the GES and Ministry of Education’s official outlets. The public has been urged to disregard the fake letter and to report any fraudulent activities connected to it.
The Service reiterated its commitment to transparency and cautioned job seekers to be vigilant to avoid falling victim to recruitment scams.
