Justice Minkah-Premo Appears Before EOCO With Clients Over PDS Deal

May 7 2026.

Legal practitioner Justice Minkah-Premo, counsel for former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, appeared before the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) with his clients on Thursday, May 6, 2026, in relation to investigations surrounding the controversial Power Distribution Services (PDS) deal.

The appearance forms part of ongoing inquiries into the PDS transaction, which has remained a subject of national discussion following concerns raised over the agreement and its implementation.

Reports indicate that Justice Minkah-Premo and his clients arrived at the EOCO offices at approximately 9:00 a.m. to cooperate with investigators regarding matters linked to the deal.

The PDS agreement, which was introduced as part of efforts to improve electricity distribution and efficiency in Ghana, faced significant controversy after issues emerged surrounding demand guarantees and compliance requirements. The development eventually led to the suspension and later termination of the arrangement by the government.

EOCO has yet to officially disclose details of the discussions or the specific scope of the ongoing investigation. However, the latest development signals intensified scrutiny into transactions connected to the former administration’s handling of the energy sector agreement.

Further updates are expected as investigations continue.
