Abura Asebu Kwamankese District Records Multiple Projects in 11 Months Under Mahama Administration

The Abura Asebu Kwamankese District Assembly has announced nine ongoing infrastructure projects across education, health, and water sectors, all initiated within 11 months of President John Dramani Mahama's administration.

Project Overview

According to a statement signed by Eric Mensah, Personal Assistant to the District Chief Executive, the projects are funded by the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF) and are at various stages of completion.

Education Infrastructure

The district is constructing:

  • A 3-unit classroom block with office, store, and 4-seater KVIP toilet at Empiro
  • A 6-unit classroom block with staff common room, office, store, and 4-seater KVIP toilet at Okyirku
  • A 2-unit KG block with office, store, and 4-seater KVIP toilet at Srodofo-Abaasa
  • A 4-seater KVIP toilet facility at Abura Dunkwa Methodist Basic School 'B'

Health Facilities

Three Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compounds are under construction at:

  • Abaka (completion stage)
  • Ohiaba
  • Nyamedom

Water Projects

The assembly is drilling and mechanizing 10 boreholes in two phases across multiple communities including Abura Dunkwa, Edumfa, Ayeldu, Srafa, Asebu Market, Batanyaa, Asomdwee, Fotwekrom, and Abakrampa.

Government Commitment

The government representatives and the various stakeholders have fast-tracked tender and procurement processes to execute the projects under the government's "Resetting Ghana" agenda.

The assembly promised more project updates in the coming days.
