Abronye DC May Be Granted Bail Today – Lawyer Martin Kpebu
Legal advocate and human rights activist, Lawyer Martin Kpebu, has revealed that the Attorney General’s office may head to court today to request bail for outspoken politician, Abronye DC.
Speaking on a panel discussion on JoyNews TV, monitored by Vistanewsgh.com, Mr. Kpebu criticised the ruling by Circuit Court Judge, Justice Acquah, which denied Abronye DC bail. He described the decision as flawed and linked it to what he called “a fruit of Akufo-Addo’s bad legacy.”
According to Kpebu, there is a high likelihood that government lawyers will move to intervene in the case to secure Abronye’s release. He stressed that justice must not be sacrificed for political convenience, adding that Ghana’s judiciary should uphold fairness and constitutional rights irrespective of the personalities involved.
The arrest and detention of Abronye DC have sparked heated public debate, with many closely watching how the case unfolds. Today’s possible bail hearing could determine whether the controversial political figure regains his freedom as legal battles continue.
