The Speaker of Parliament, Rt Hon Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has announced that the third meeting of the first session of the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic will commence on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 2:00 PM.

The announcement, issued from the Office of the Speaker at Parliament House in Victoriaborg, Accra, follows an earlier notice to defer the commencement of the parliamentary meeting dated October 6, 2025.

According to the official statement, the Speaker invoked Order 58 of the Standing Orders of Parliament to reschedule the meeting, which will take place at Parliament House in Accra.

  • Date: Tuesday, October 21, 2025
  • Time: 1400 hours (2:00 PM)
  • Venue: Parliament House, Accra
  • Session: Third Meeting of the First Session
  • Parliament: Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana.

The notice to commence the meeting comes after the Speaker had previously deferred the session. The rescheduling demonstrates the House's adherence to parliamentary procedures and the Standing Orders that govern legislative business.

The document, dated October 8, 2025, carries the official seal of the Office of the Speaker and bears the signature of Rt Hon Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin.

Members of Parliament and the public are expected to witness the resumption of legislative activities, which may include debates, committee reports, ministerial statements, and the consideration of bills and other parliamentary business.

The commencement of this session marks an important milestone in the ongoing work of Ghana's Ninth Parliament as lawmakers continue their constitutional mandate to legislate and provide oversight.
